Doing Eye of the North Before Finishing Prophecies
I just got to Lion's Arch and I was thinking whether or not I should go to Eye of the North (to get more skills, max armor and weapon). I just want to go to the Eye of the North Outpost and get my stuff and then go back to playing Prophecies. The Question is, wiki says that the "Against the Destroyers" quest will automaticly be add to my quest log, but I don't want to finish it because it's extremely long, if I keep it in my quest log and play Prophecies, would it affect the gaming at all (storyline wise or bug/glitch wise, since eye of the north is supposed to happen after Prophecies)? Can someone tell me what I should do? Thanks in advance.

Having Against the Destroyers quest should have no effect on things you do in Prophecies. All aspects of that quest are in EoTN.
Edit: I believe. Then again I havent been to all the Prophecies areas since EoTN came out. |

So even though Eye of the North takes place 6 years after Prophecies, I can finish Eye of the North before Prophecies? Seems kinda weird to me, but thanks for the help. And also, can anyone confirm that there are no known bugs with having "Against the Destroyers" in your quest log? I mean, I hear about things like that all the time, a quest messing up an explorable area or whatever. Thanks again.

It would be wierder if you take your character to EoTN 6 years in the future and couldnt go back to Prophecies, as in Presearing.
I dont know and havent heard of any bugs, but then again you could just abandon the quest if it bothers you and you can regain the quest later. |

To the OP, nothing will change in Prophecies. It's perfectly fine to hop back between the two. Nearly all of EotN takes place in eotn territory. There's one or two quests that take you back to Prophecies, but don't worry about that. Against the Destroyers will not mess anything up |

A quest you get in one campaign/expansion of the game will not affect anything that happens on a different one.

It will not change prophecies at all, but to get the armor is not simply get there and buy it. You have to have rank 5 in a certain title track determined by which armor, so you would have to grind points for that. Basically, it will take you a long time to get Eotn armor.

Not unless you count the armor you can buy in Boreal Station.

Yeah, though I think the NPC in Boreal Station crafts max basic armor (basic as in the armor art collectors use I think).
Yeah...so now people can get to LA/Kaineng/Kamadan easy, zoom to Boreal Station, max out their armor? I prefer it to people getting run, at least. |

Of course since you have just reached Lions Arch you havn't ascended yet so do not have a full 200 pt character.
Go get the armour by all means but consider getting through the crsytal desert and completing your character development. |

I went to eye of the north from Lion's arch almost immediately after arriving there. I think my character was a 14 at the time. I was getting such good XP in EotN that I stayed there until I got to 20 then went back and did Proph to completion.
It's easyenough to hop back and forth between the two. Didn't hurt my gameplay at all. |

Huh, ok the quest is not removable, I stand corrected. And are the armors in Boreal station the usual 1.5k armor skins from Droks? I still havent gone back there to see them.

If you pay attention to the storyline there are a few spoilers in EotN

I think they only have the armor art of the kind the collectors have ("Elementalist" armor, aka "Tyrian" armor now), but it is max nonetheless.
Also, NF would work best since you reach Kamadan rather quickly. Probably in the course of 15 minutes or less... |

I mean, think about it - in Lion's Arch, Rurik is dead and there are Ascalonians making a new life for themselves in Kryta. Travel back to Old Ascalon, and Rurik is alive and well... Regardless, if you don't do some key missions or story points in Prophecies, you may be at a loss for some of the GWEN stuff. It really shouldn't hamper you from playing, though; you can play GWEN having only Factions or Nightfall, so it's not that big of a deal... |
